@MWO_691 you got a pretty big jump ending 2016 into 2017... nice
Probably Amber Hestla of ProfitableTrading.com and Dr David Eifrig of Stansberry.com. They both sell options for income. You need at least 20k. Amber is the cheapest and she has 2 newsletters.
Daytradingradio also does options too but mostly buy side. Their results are okay. Smarter option traders mostly sell for income.
Profitly used to have some option traders here but they didn't last long.

@Ike Hey Ike, I liked your "Are YOU Ready? If not, DON'T TRADE! + MY DAILY ROUTINE and ADVICE :)" blog. I'm still working on the getting up on time. Anyway I read your site tradelikeike.com and you said you started with a small account. I'm trying to save up as I go. Havent done any real trading yet. Still paper trading. How much did you start with or what was the general size (hundreds, thous, etc), if I may ask?
Thanks. So my account size actually wasn't that small, but I did limit myself to small size trades only and I continue to preach how crucial that is. For most trades I used just a few thousand or less and often still trade with that size
and by that I mean the total $ amount I had on the trade, not the number of shares.
Nice. thank you so much. gives me a better idea on when i feel comfortable to get started. Trying to learn how others got their start but still trying to learn to find stocks on my own as well to paper trade. thanks.

im pretty happy with suretraders DAS trader pro.. im paying for a papertrade accout thru https://www.warriortrading.com/paper-trading-with-das-trader-and-warrior-trading/
I like equityfeed for charting and streaming news, but it can be pricy. I also use TD ameritrade's level II. read my blog for background info http://trading-elixir.tumblr.com hope this helps
try em all (free trials preferred, if any). You'll find the one you're comfortable with. I personally like ThinkorSwim from TD Ameritrade
you can open a TD Ameritrade account and not fund it and get Think or Swim for free.

@ksinghosu Checked it out... it most definitely would have helped..... But it only works for android and ios... I, sadly, have a windows phone.,.. sigh
Better wait (work, save money and learn) until you have at least 2'000$ to your hand. There are lots of videos and blogposts to read meanwhiIe. I don't say it is impossible to grow a 500$ account but with a broker like robinhood you will definately have problems at execution etc.
trade king only charges $5 if you want to look into that
@DaMicroTrader If you know of trades that are at buy low and sell high let me know. Since I am noob and have a small account I want to stick to that #longstocking

So you're saying i probably cant short with a cash account?
From my understanding the short answer is yes because in a short sell in defination is selling a stock from a brokerage which you really dont until you do what is called buy to cover. Plus with a margin account your putting yourself at a higher risk to short sell. Dylan to help you this web page explain why you need a margin account http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/05/marginaccountshortsell.asp
Im sorry i forgot to add the word "own" in between dont and until
Thanks drifter. That helped out greatly. Being new here as well I am still learning the ropes. My head is still spinning.

Thanks for posting this. It's helpful getting inside your thinking. I'm a little confused, though. In the first example it looks like you got in and out at about the same price. You lost $200 on it?!?
That's why I had to zooom in the price so much. Even though it was stuck in a range, that range was about 40 cents up/down. Those first fwe spikes really skewed the look of the chart. If you can go back on that day you will see what I mean. Thanks for commenting!
very helpful... thank you.
Got it. Thanks for the explanation :)

One thing I forgot to ask, how much did you start trading with back then in January? How much money would you recommend me to start trading with?
I'm glad to hear u are disciplined. I did stop selling it. I will release a revised and improved edition in the future, but for now I need to focus on myself and my own trading. I'm not ready to be sharing it all and mentoring yet, it turned out to be pretty stressful for me. I started with 18k of my own capital but never actually needed all of that
I can only imagine how stressful it must be, especially since this is your first year as a day trader. I am looking forward to learn more from your success and again want to say thank you for your advise and being so transparent. I will talk to you soon my friend, have a great weekend!
For Forex use Tim's trading technique PERIOD.
@DaMicroTrader , I'm not familiar with Oanda
@Jason_Raposo Definitely will do. I might add a little more time to paper trading then to get a betterm feel. Like i said, i slacked a little bit. But yeah, i like Tims techniques. Hopefully savev up enough one day for one of their dvds. and Oanda is another FX broker. They were one of the top when i seached and they required less capital. I do have a TD Am account as well so im practicing on both of em. Whichever i feel more comfortable with will get the first live account.
@DaMicroTrader DVDs are a plus HTMM taught me alot.
