TRUG climbed AH and then more in PM and looked strong before the open, then made a quick upswing and cracked down to a lower support level. I bought the dip there and it went up 3.5% before sliding and sliding. It was hugely choppy and looked really spiky so I stayed in a little longer but I got out when it broke through the lowest support. Lesson: CLQ, Take profits quickly.
After a nice PM rise, it dropped at the open. I timed the bottom correctly and got in and it immediately popped up about 7% and hovered there. I held expecting another 7% jump but it popped right back down (Bart Chart) and had a poor execution of my stop. Lesson: Stops aren't a garantee of sell price.
This hi float hi price stock had incredible range with its price action in PM and two perfect examples of bullish flags. I got in as soon as the direction was sure after the open. It jumped, halted, dropped then climbed again to 14.6 but then cracked twice. I had a stop at just above the buy as a safety measure. Lesson: stops help avoid disastrous losses.
News of FDA drug acceptance caused several PM spikes. At the open, the price swung a little and it looked like it was moving up. After waiting 3 min. I got in at what I thought was the bottom of a spike but instead it was the top of an hour-long slide. I got out as quickly as I could once I noticed a clear slide. Lessons: CLQ, It is risky to guess the direction before the price action proves itself at the open. Wait 5 min. or catch it as it breaks out, but don't buy the dip immediately.
After a good run up from 7:30am to 9:15, I bought on a dip hoping for another squeeze. It trended up and once I was comfortable I moved my stop up to ensure a win, and the price popped down just far enough to hit my stop, before going back up to 1.48. Lesson: stops may be seen and hunted, but chasing a cracking candle is more damaging. Use a stop then your profits are far enough to still ensure a win but far enough from the current price that it cannot easily be hit by chop.
