STT scanner hit AUPH. Positive news release on phase 3 trial results. Sykes score was 90 'Good'. At the open price dropped aggressively. Looked for a dip buy entry. Entered at $15.70, but just above $15 would have been better. Price reversed and decided to cut losses quickly at $15.53. Need to practice dip buy entries.
STT scanner hit AKTX. News announced about a phase 3 trial design. Has a history of spiking, but they don't seem to hold. Decided to wait and watch for the first 15 mins after open. Price dropped, looked for a dip buy. Entered at $2.30. But the bounce was weak. Initially sold at $2.38. Price stalled and then sold remaining position.
STT scanner hit SFET. The 10-year, 5-year and 1-year we're not previous spikers. The was a large gap up, and this is not the typical patterns I trade. Was too eager to trade today. The 1-day pre-market chart was ideal, but overall shouldn't have traded it. Planned trade and entered trade at $10.33, but moved against me and blew through stop loss at $8.97. Never Again!!! Wait for 10-15 minutes after open before trading and follow rules!
Did not get any good candidates in my scanner this morning. Decided to take a look at SRNE again. Not the pre-market pattern I like to trade. However, bought at the open at $3.00 with a mental stop loss of $2.95. Price went against me, then bounced a little past $3. Wasn't a convincing bounce and should have sold sooner. Blew through $2.95 and cut losses quickly at $2.92. Close position quicker if price stalls next time!!!!
STT scanner hit SRNE. Mediocre news where the company was highlighted in an article and rejected a buyout. Pre-market chart is a pattern I like, news could be better quality and was a 'watch' SSS scale. Entered at $2.20, but hit resistance and reversed. Decided to cut losses.
STT scanner hit HEPA. News of them having positive results in experimental liver model. Pre-market price moved up $1. At the open there was a panic selloff. Looked for dip buy opportunity. Bought 310 shares at $3.82 and price was very volatile. Sold at three different price points. First sold 105 at $3.94.
