Have you made any money trading JDST at all? Just wondering, since Tim recommends you stay away from commodity-linked things like this. There's also forex risk involved with anything priced in USD like gold or oil to consider.

I got burned hard on KBIO. Looked like a runner and then handed me my ass when I got in. I should have paid more attention to the part of the HTMM DVDs where it was said that you need price action AND news, and this stock was missing news. Short would be a good idea, but there might not be any shares to short out there.

The problem with shorting ITEK is that it's well cashed up (about 5 years of cash at current cash burn rate, after subtracting total debt), so the only way it will go down is on bad news, or a sudden massive loss of interest in the stock. Therefore, I suspect its decline will be slow, and probably not worth the risk and expense of an extended period short.

Totally agree about TRVN, I'm not able to make much sense of the chart either. As for FORD though, I am looking to short FORD too, but waiting for the daily volume to die down a bit, or else it will probably just sit there.

Be careful though, because it had a triple top, it only went up 20%, and its volume wasn't really all that great. It might gap open tomorrow though, so you may want to take profits, but I suppose its future action all depends on whether or not people realize that even at this price, based on its balance sheet and income statement, it's already very overpriced.

I wouldn't yet. Wait until the first down day before you jump in. Also the float is pretty high, so the chance of a huge drop is low. If you were to short at this point you are flipping a coin, one announcement can make or break you. And, given the number of announcements being made it's a toss-up whether or not it will spike or drop. Stay away for now

Good point. Thanks for the reassurance that I'm trying too hard for a good short, I suspected as much.

No problem. Good luck!

Good work! Not sure if the lack of movement constitutes evidence that no one has seen it yet, or evidence that the market sees it as yawn-worthy. Personally I don't know much about this space, or the process, or the odds of not going bankrupt on the way to production, but it looks to me as though they have about one year of cash left, and that their product's resuls so far are that it gives people about 5 more months to live for a type of cancer with low survivability. Not my idea of a particula

...rly good product, but I don't know how well the industry values such an improvement. Since the stock is so low, and since they have an imminent presentation on the wa,y it seems plausible to me that it could spike for a few days, but probably not to all that high a level, and probably not for too long. But it does seem spike worthy to maybe $1.

I would need additional catalysts to really expected to spike up higher.

It was good to me on Friday. Made $1000 on two KBIO trades, both longs.

Well it seems to have crapped out on Tuesday unfortunately. I was watching this too and was hoping maybe you'd be right. Thoughts on KBIO going forward?

I seen it moving premarket and actually had my buy order typed in @ 3.11 but changed my mind. lol Premarket burnt me earlier in the week so I was gun shy. Even so I probably would have sold premarket @ 3.65.

Sounds like the sort of mistakes I made last week. Here's hoping we don't make those same sorts of mistakes next week! Watch HTMM esp discs 5-7 if you haven't already!

So many DVDs to watch. Finishing Pennystocking Part Deux. My job does not warrant me the time to learn or trade. But I make it happen.

You may want to check out the trigger method your broker uses. With IB, you can change which type it uses if you want, or you can start using stops at levels like 3.99 instead of 4.00, etc. Not sure if links will work in chat, so google "IB Trigger Method" and you'll see the choices.

I only buy EOD if I am looking to average down over night or time otherwise I stay away. I play small amount to on my trades and if it goes the way Iwant I flood in at least know my fees will be covered on a scratch is a nice feeling when they go the way you want.

@Rolani You're not alone in your disappointment of not seeing it hit $4.20 at the end.
