@RickTC52 hey brother, Daniel here, I'm trading from Melbourne Australia, although its extremely hard to trade U.S pennystocks from 1.30am when the market opens then try to be at work by 6.30 am,, definitely trying to get rid of the day job,, I run a busy concreting business so trying to trade and study and work fulltime is difficult but I get it done,, anyway I know Tim doesn't recommend offshore brokers so this not a recommendation, but Ive started my small account of $1500 with Tradezero, all seems fine so far, but as soon as I have enough though I will be moving these funds to a proper broker that accepts Australian residents so let me know how you go,, where abouts are you from bro? ive been asking in the chat room if there were any other Australian traders,, great to finally find one,, chat soon mate, Daniel Moroney

I think so -- that is what was suggested by someone who supposedly did that. But I have no first-hand knowledge and don't know Australian law. I would recommend consulting a lawyer. The only other option I can think of would be an offshore broker like Suretrader but I can't recommend that

Tradestation is a decent broker but not at all good for short selling

I personally use Tradezero. They clear through vision who is one of the clearing firms centrpoint securities use so they nearly always have the HTB stocks. Charting is not the greatest but can get by with it. I had same problem being Australian when looking for a broker originally.
