I've been studying again last few weeks now I'm comfortable in my new home. Paper trading has started and last night I did really well. $OMER broke new highs and I did everything correctly except for buying actual shares. Still, it helps my confidence and I will need to continue trading correctly. According to my notes I would have made $430 roughly playing it safely. Had I had confidence in my plan it would have been over $2000

I like your vid Ace. Your voice is entertaining to this Aussie. I had to look up info on what a trailing stop actually is to follow this vid but overall I liked it. Cheers.

Wow, great video!! Although I'm new to trading, I've never heard of a trail stop. For me, it makes perfect sense for my situation (work full time and can't watch the screen all the time). Thanks so much for sharing and looking forward to more of your videos!!

I think I've finally sorted things with OX but with my course ending in Aug and my life currently upside down, things are tough. Really tough. I'll get back into it eventually but trading is non-existent right now. Sick of looking at that -$200 on my profile. I'll get you yet Mr Red Monies!!! Hope you're all doing better than me. Keep studying, start small and don't give up. Next time I post I could be in a new city. Cheers.

My margin account is active! No PDT rule as well is a bonus although may not matter. Looks like I'm set. Now to quit job, move city and start again! Ha. Life is crazy.

As the richies say: Working 9-5 is the worst way to make money. After a year of employment it was bonus time. Unfortunately I forgot and told my boss early I was going to leave soon. When our yearly review came through they gave me the lowest employee rating and no bonus. Very slack. Such is life. Soon I can concentrate on stocks come July.

@Prestomango I'm still alive. I'm now relocated in Sydney with my girl, unemmployed and lov'n it. Going to start messing with stocks again but I feel left behind and need to re-study everything. Need to get my acc in the green! 2nd level for OX worked for me. Dunno what they're on about?

VLTC is a great example of hating yourself for not putting money down on a stock you wanted to put money on. I didn't do it as the stock has been choppy and everyone's been expecting a big drop. It went up to $10 and exploded to $18 last night. Crazy. Been on my Watchlist for ages but it happens and will happen again.

I've already lost my mind over this. I was determined not to trade it, due to a lot of the pro's stumbling on it. But this was the greatest opportunity for a long, ever.

VLTC is a huge risk. Icahn bought a second lot of shares which caused the spike. Could it go up? Sure. This sort of thing doest come very often but it could also collapse. After last night I think it will explode again tonight due to the hype. I'll watch.

Start of the week!! Turns out my broker is stuffing me around again. Back to the books until they get their heads out of their A-holes and fix my stuff. 8 months I've been doing this and still can't trade properly. Sick of brokers. Hope you all have better luck than me!!! On the plus side it means I can't lose money. ;)

CFDs look good @mavrick41. Did a bit of reading on it. You can also purchase far more shares like options. Man, its a good week for trading and my broker seems to have decided to ignore me. My luck...

Hey man, I'm new too. I like your trades as you're very transparent and detailed yet scary. Maybe trade with less? GL!!

Good lessons learned (I hope). The cool thing is, there will be more opportunities for changes in stock prices to capitalize from. I know I have made mistakes by trying to make some quick gains at the end of the day to offset some losses. We know it's a bad thing to do, so I have made a commitment to myself to get up and walk a way for a few minutes when that feeling comes and not to make the trade at all on a friday. Theres nothing worse than going into the weekend kicking yourself twice.

Thanks for the great comments. I should play with less but unfortunatly i feel nothing when I go smaller. Fast track the learning and get all my mistakes out the way and i am learning a lot of what not to do only experience can teach.

The "How to Make Millions" DVD has been a long watch and I'm still not done. 13 "DVD's" (mine is the streaming version) and all run from 2-3 hours each. Is it good? Well, I think its good for people looking to get into trading with the idea to buy\short USD stocks. It go's over a ton of things even though it seems to drag a lot. The last few DVD's seem to be getting more interesting for me as I've been studying for ages. I wish I had it before I took on my course, not after. Those with good experience could pass on it.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I will definitely look into it! Right now I am an hour into Tandem Trader, this may be a good one as well!

I'm almost halfway into Tandem trading, its great so far. I'm learning a lot of solid fundamentals. IU is definitely worth the $200/m. If I was a better trader, I would've made that my first day of trading in the chatroom. Definitely give it a shot.

I'm new as well!! Grats for trying. Its a big hurdle! Don't worry about the red. Some tips I have are: Create trend lines on your chart (text & icons help too). This helps, especially if watching multiple. Don't be afraid to give up on a chart and move to another. Some of your charts (MCP) look very choppy and low volume. Play what you can read. Best of luck mate.

@MarkAus Thanks a lot! I will definitely incorporate trend lines into my charting now!

I believe volume and volatility are very important and I am also teaching myself (for years) to cut losses quickly. It has not worked out too well, as I am currently holding 2 big losses with fingers crossed, but I have greatly learned from them. It will always be a learning experience.
