@RolandWolf hey, you talked about the overnight holds in the StocksToTrade podcast, could you share a little bit more detail on what to look for to consider a ticker to be worthy of overnight hold? Thanks in advance. :)

@rickyorea if I’m not mistaking that’s what he said on the podcast, it might not been the exact way I said it but it was something in that nature. I watched it One and a half times

@rickyorea I got some notes on my computer from Roland's content and this is what I have for his over night holds (in no particular order): Closing strong, good catalyst, not too much overhead resistance, and a history of 2-3 day runs. Hope it helps

@rickyorea... %gainers, catalyst, room to run on chart (not much o/h resistance), 1st Green Day and closing at highs

Ty for sharing, but at what point are you buying? At that b/o or in or are you buying few days after ER in expectation that b/o will happen later? Ty.

@GT500 the "E" on the chart indicates the earnings announcement, so you can see how many days it takes to break out. Entry depends on risk and price action, each play is different

This is great and aligns very well with my current strategy. I will have to investigate this further.

@MarxistTrader Dbask Aug 12, 7:32 AM I see you are a swing trader , so you know any good YouTube videos or anything period where I can learn to swing trade. I get day trading and shorting but I want to learn swing long and swing short etc..

I've learned mostly from InvestorsUnderground. I basically try to trade their 'ABCD' pattern on daily charts rather than intra-day charts. Unlike them, however, I often try to anticipate what sector money will flow into based on foreseeable events (e.g. legalization votes last year, bitcoin runs this year, etc.).

Well - not that they never do that, but I wait for "perks" less than they do. I often buy flat action anticipating perks.

@MarxistTrader Dude if you shorted Stocks you would probably be Unstoppable. You are Making so much in short amount of time you would probably be number 1 in verified 30 days and 90 days If you shorted. Most of Tim G's trades are shorts. I will be following you as well now. I am a decent short seller not too good at going long though, I think I can learn a lot from you. Don't worry I wont ask you questions or bother you in anyway I will just review your trades once you post them. Thanks for posting your trades. You are Great at this my friend.

Shorting always just seemed a bit more complicated and I wanted to get good at longs first. I'm definitely thinking about it though!

@Mealtickettt I only cared about it towards EOD since it held its gains and the whole sector was hot. It was a risky long because Michael Goode said there's a danger of financing but I only read his comment afterward. With these things, you need to sell into spikes very quickly, maybe even afterhours/pre-market if you can.

@Mealtickettt But yes, my scanner saw it too. I just didn't pay attention until later.
