The hardest thing is following my own rules, each time I do i go ok. Every time I don't I get smashed. Me telling myself, follow your RULES. Stop trading for the sake of trading.
@Woodsmen @Woodsmen IB is the only one to use if you're trading from auz. it keeps the fees way down. i was using Halifax and it pretty much wiped out my account with fees alone. also trading from an Australian account you can't short, just one of the rules over here. haven't tried it with my IB account yet only opened it the other week. you don't need $10,000 to open either. i did it with $2000 and traded with it. good to hear your in the game, just study flat out and make it your own. I'm only new at it myself, been in the challenge about 3 months so far. any dramas just ask and i'll try to help. i asked a lot of questions about how we get going over here but there wasn't much help so i just winged it and learnt so hard lessons on my own about the Australian brokers.

Hi gavin thanks for the info my contact at IB definitely says it has to be 10k and he says you can short shares ?? its all confusing. Would love to pick your brain if possible but same time don't want to be a bother let me know your skype name if you have one and i could contact you that way ??

well, that seems odd, brought DCTH at .1150 and p&l was way down so i got out at .12 and p&l is saying -$450. hopefully i'll be able to sort it out tomorrow.

@Scott_PaperTrader_legit Hey Scott nice trading, i'm trading through halifax who use IB but they don't allow short selling and the fees are smashing every profit i make. Just want some advice around the broker you use and if you have set it up with them directly or got through an Aussie bank. Cheers mate, keep up the great trading

I do not mean to be rude but look up the definition of paper trading i paper trade im 16 and currently have no options other than offshores and "I have been warned" so i would not know about your issues sorry.

congrats on the trades. you're doing great. do you use a stop loss and profit taker or do you just hover and wait to get out?

Only mental stop loss and no profit taker. I have been trying to work on my patience with plays, I feel thats by far the hardest thing in trading.... at least for me.

nice one mate, i brought cccr at $2.82 tried to get out at $2.95 and then a confirm transfer came up as per normal on TWS, by the time i clicked that she crashed hard, each time i tried to get out the confirm transfer tab would come up and i missed the exit again. so i guess my question is do you use a stoploss and a profit taker? congrats on the trades by the way looks like you have a good plan.

Looking good dude keep up the hard work. I had a rubbish month last month not cutting losses quick enough. Hahahaha then DRYS got me twice this month. It's my arch nemesis
