For currency (forex) trading, no. For S&P, I don’t think so.

so traders that trade forex are not using level 2. omg how the fuck are they trading then? what edge do they have.

TimothyHero
TimothyHero Jul 19, 20 8:48 AM

@Financestudent — I used to trade forex and from my experience, no brokers offered it. The forex market has over $5 trillion traded daily. The level 2 would be impossible to read because trades and orders happen so quickly.

I'm from the states all of the brokerages that I know of don't care about your credit score. I don't have a credit score, and I can short. The brokerage policies may differ in Sweden. I would recommend contacting the brokerage you wish to short with and see what there policy is.

Also, invest in gramer or language education. Not that my skills are any good, but know the difference between now and know. Education is key kiddo ;)

@Kingstonstock85 english language is not my first language, and if it makes you happy, that was a typo. And why does everybody think i am a kid lol. I am 25 years old. I remember when profitly was a brand new place for traders, people were so much nicer. Now it seems like this "place" is ruined. For an example i cant post a simple questions involving the stock market without being belittled...

@Kingstonstock85 i see that your post replies without reading the topic, i use finviz and it does not show any results when i am searching for penny stocks

Kingstonstock85
Kingstonstock85 Aug 03, 17 3:07 PM

Ok. But 25 years old is still young man. i wish I was 25 kid. The money I could have made :D Anyway, Finviz is delayed like 15 minutes or so. Does your broker not show any news? Can't you set up a stockscreener in your broker? IB does. Also, never be too shy when it comes to live data. Like 80% of my choices are made from live data. And for my broker to show me live stocks in the stock scanner (that are in play now), I need to set the settings to live data. It cost like USD 5 or so. Maybe USD 30

Congrats and it sounds like you're on the right path. You don't really need to trade daily honestly or hold overnight unless you have to or after seeing a potential that a company could go up the next day. However, you should never ever have to hold your position for the sake of not wanting to use one of your day trades. I think you have up to 3 or 4 trades depending on broker, if you nail those three trades, that should be plenty enough for a 5 rolling days. Good luck to you bud!

Yeap, you gotta be careful! Things are setup in such a way retail traders simply can't buy at X and sell at X + .01 without losing money. I just watched someone's proftily video not too long ago and they had like ~$500 in comissions on a trade due to A/H rates on a low cost stock! Can't remember who, but you have to be aware of your fees and factor that into all your trades.

Financestudent Jun 27, 17 8:21 AM

so you trade with 50 USD. I myhself have 1000 usd and think that little money to play with. I think you should start with 2500-3000 usd.

wwestlund
wwestlund Jun 27, 17 11:12 AM

I was only trading the $50 while my funding was pending in my E-Trade account
