Conditions:
I trade at an european broker. The US stock exchange opens at 3:30 my time. No access to StocksToTrade, OTC, VWAP, premarket trading charts. Can see premarket volume and price 1 hour pm.
Daily routine:
8:00 AM my time. Look for news. Watch market open in my country at 9:00AM. It is much slower and less volume then on the US stock exchange. Zzz. I spend 1 hour on that stock exchange. The level 2 data is reported better than for the US stocks.
10:00 Check content on Tims mails, Profitly, Finwiz and at the broker. Make a watchlist of 10-15 stocks. During the day I reduce the number of stocks to about 3 that I think will move today. I don´t have to test all the stocks with Sykes sliding scale anymore. I can see more quickly that the stock probably will end up poor today. Test the primary candidate stocks with Sykes Sliding Scale. Excellent stock is very random. A few very good, good and playable stocks per week. Most stocks end up watch or poor. When I get tired checking stocks for the watchlist I look at education videos, blog content from other students and mails. At 2:30 (8:30 US time) I listen to stockstotrade Instagram, Tim Bohen. People ask questions about stocks that run today. Maybe I add some stock to my watchlist. One hour premarket I can see the premarket volume at my broker. No graphs. I make the final watchlist of about 3 stocks that I am going to focus on. The US market opens at 3;30 pm. I have a routine how I handle the target stocks. I am very focused and go through the stocks in order of priority. After trading I register the papertrades in a spread sheat. Also register the result of the search for stocks.
Biggest wins are supernovas and short squeezes. I like clean morning spikes. The challenge is to find them.
Biggest losses are when I miss/don´t respect stop-loss. Hold and hope never works.
Common losses are when I think that I should do as Tim Bohen says and wait until 9:45, then the supernovas run without me. Another day I jump on a spiking stock and it turns down. The biggest challenge is the trading, timing the entries and exits. I hope that the knowledge account will spill over to the money account some day.
