Thank you! And I love the comic bubles. Question though, I was trying to paper trade just 300 stocks long on this play and I couldn't sell! When it topped into the 4s I still couldn't get out and I was using E-trade. Any advice for such a situation?

@Janielx Hey Jess, I did not know that Etrade offered a paper-trading platform, but they should be able to tell you why it went through. It sounds like you had the right idea, and that is what counts with paper trading. When you trade for real, be sure to use limit orders, and don't be shy about putting your order a few cents away from where you want to get filled. IE your risk level is @ 3.50, have your limit order ready @ 3.45 or 3.40. Especially on OTC stocks!

unfortunately when I was watching this on Friday I was too afraid to enter around 3.50 because I thought was very near the top :( I didn't want to chase and have the stock drop on me.

@JTBurkeen The best traders on profit.ly ignore buyouts, mergers, and acquisitions. Stick to big percent gainers, and avoid guessing games. IMO

Ignore The buyouts - too unpredictable

Thank you for the responses, I get you, it looked to good to be true, so I figured I'd ask about it, my main focus has been charts and patterns (like I said im new to this) but that got brought up by a friend so I wanted to ask about it. @WFKS I see, I assumed the store sells was to please the FTC but I didnt realize they are making serious moves to halt the buyout, thanks again everyone

go long, focus on % gainers, volatile stocks, but that's just my opinion.

hello. getting a margin account is not hard with etrade. message support and have them assist you with getting it. i now trade with IB but when i traded with etrade i used etrade pro just to execute orders and stocks to trade for everything else.

I use IB for 95% of my trades. I use STT as a scanner, but often rely on Etrade Pro because it is more dependable. I would strongly recommend having some kind of back up data. The good thing about Etrade is that they have always given me Pro for free. I hear Suretrader has better Share Availability, but they are also a sketchy offshore broker so I would not use them personally.
