for 6/6 (today) my goal is to only take trades that are high odds set ups, remain calm by focusing on the chart/ pattern and time and sales and not focusing on my unrealized loss or gain.

Update on week of 6/3- I have managed to massively decrease my over trading problem which is great. I took a less volatile short yesterday in ADVM because of how extended it was after its failed spike / crack in sideways price action. I ended up adding on a bounce, should have waited for more of a bounce as i added about half way up it. I was able to cover some into the dip after the bounce but then it started to curl up on me and had these very strange volume bursts (HFT?) that made it hard to get a read on the sentiment. I protected my gains, albeit small, by paying myself along the way. This type of trade is okay for me I just need to be sure i use enough size to make the fees worth it which i definitely did not. I also think that once i got the green to red move and move to -6% + on a less volatile play i should have covered up and gone about my day. I wanted to be patient with it but the problem with that is that the stock has proved time and time again that it doesn't want to panic so after that significant predictable drop, post sideways price crack/1st red day i should have taken my $ and waited for an opportunity to re short instead of getting greedy. I am getting to know myself as a trader and i am definitely not the most patient trader mostly because i am fairly neurotic and anxious.

Update 6/5 - 6/4 was the first day trading since last week and I am really happy that I was able to not trade monday and trade WAY less yesterday. No real $ being thrown around because im trying to hone my process. Went 3/4 and ended up down slightly (24$ or so) yesterday but the day was a success for my confidence and education. I stuck to my plans, cutting the one failed trade quickly and quickly taking my singles. two 4% trades and two 7% -+ trades, one -5% trade. The -5% was a dip buy attempt and moved quickly. My instinct was to get annoyed at myself but then i realized that won't do any good. I cut it as quickly as I was able, I was paying attention and it started moving fast. That failed dip buy of LGCY could have EASILY cost me 10%++ or more if i had waited even a few more seconds/ minutes. As Tim G says, being wrong is part of it, it is okay. That being said after the dip buy attempt from .44 to .46 when the stock got slammed down (which is why i sold- felt like it was weak/ being sold into) I could have re evaluated whether the stock had any ability to bounce. AMR i actually didn't think I would get shares (I know that is a bad excuse) but I have been tracking potential shorts by entering them into my TD account and writing down the execution / rejection times to see if that is a good play for me. Since it did get executed (albeit a tiny position size) I was certainly a bit nervous. I wanted to play off of .39 cents so it was a little bit wide of a risk. I knew that the stock felt weak, the float was high, there was long term resistance at .39-.4 on the daily and that the odds were on my side. I could definitely have been more patient as the stock fairly quickly went to 20 cents. so I basically took like 7% and 4% of a 40% or so move (from .35/.37) but that is meaningful once i decide im comfortable sizing up. I could have used the pops as an opportunity to add in this trade. If I had had more size I could have covered some into the hard pull so as to keep me comfortable (where i covered all) and then held the rest for further collapse. If I always trade like this it is OK, I dont need all of that move to make it worth it. All in all this week my trades are fewer, better odds, more planned/ disciplined. Going to continue working on trading sparingly and making sure to set intelligent risk levels. Starting to feel like I am definitely short biased as I just feel like i can see those patterns better. IB account should be open within a few days so I will have more ability to expand my skill set there than at TOS/TD.

Spent 5 weeks over trading quite a bit. Was doing okay, until i started to try to size up and the OK i was doing was not the right habbits. Its really easy to hear the advice people give and not internalize it. I think it really hit me how burned out i was getting and that the over trading on mediocre set ups was SO taxing. The major plays right now are not plays im comfortable with as the squeezes seem so volatile i just cant mentally handle them. The answer however was not to trade shittier less volatile plays the answer was to watch videos and read. Video lesson #5776 was totally what i needed to hear. re watching trading tickers as well and read the book Tim G recommends in that video ( Daily trading coach) twice. I think after hear "let the market/patterns come to you" from literally everyone and every book i realized that not only do i not fear missing out on plays im not comfortable with i dont want to do that to myself. Why take out the stress of a trade on a low odds play that i KNOW will give me anxiety win or lose. I don't know if anyone will read this but if you do I hope this helps. I expected to be better quickly- which I know alot of people do but I have worked in finance for 3 years and have extensive knowledge of investing. IT IS NOT THE SAME. IT DOESNT MATTER. It helps, but it doesn't mean i can rush it. I need to find that little edge and after tracking plays I think dip buying and shorting the top of bounces is the way for me. I will do my best to maintain discipline and only play those set ups that dont immediately make me nervous. The really good set ups ive played, pretty much just $PTN dip buy and shorting top of the bounce i played a fair amount of size and although my executions were poor and i was anxious (i was newer) i wasn't anxious for the same reasons as on a play like $ELTK where it is just so erratic i know im holding a grenade without seeing the timer on it.

Remaining notes on 5/30 SESN dip buy The good thing I did was recognize that the drop in volume after a spike meant a bottom, I will be able to better execute by hesitating less. Was not able to find shares to short at the top of the bounce and missed the second dip buy. Was not able to find shares to short of the second bounce either. I know this is less volatile but the pattern is there so I feel much more confident in a play like this than one of the recent short squeeze plays. Even if it means less opportunity, giving myself a chance in a trade that is less choppy is, I believe, far more important. Maybe one day I can play the OBLN or ELTK trades but right now, as Tim said in the webinar, it makes me uncomfortable and I am not that good at it. I will keep watching them to see if I can find an edge but will likely lay off from trading them.

Remaining notes on 5/30 MDXG Breakout buy trade I would have probably taken off during the acceleration around 4.6ish but still that is a significant trade. This really helped my confidence despite my execution. Starting to see what I am looking for. 4 was a multi month breakout, and this was forming a gun chart with nice volume and a catalyst. Late morning so I suppose that isn't the best time to taake the set up but in Trading Tickers he talks about not caring when a multi month breakout is during the day. I can make this trade better in the future by being a little more patient on my entry and switching to my laptop to go to the bathroom so that I can let the trade run. That may sound silly, but holding in a bowel movement can really add anxiety as it fills you with tension.

Not sure where to post this, but I made a few more trades than i normally would have the last 2 days. I had been using chase brokerage which was terrible, got my TD account open (waiting for IB still) and wanted to make some trades to get used to the interface.

@dux Hi, Steven. I enjoyed your DVD. question, for the pre market breakout strategy, what are you looking for to put the right tickers on your watchlist for this particular strategy?

anyone questioning the strategies in the dvd needs to watch it again. and again. rewind parts, put your phone down and take notes. its literally typed out on the screen. -------- up 20-25% pre market (up at least that much) 9million and under float works the best (unless biotech), needs news, and low resistance, before he goes into the strategy he talks about the resistance. its all there.

Wow some people in here are so greedy. This amazing dude doesn’t have to help us out at all! He takes the time to put out free content and videos with Tim. Like grow up , put your big boy pants on and start studying. His main advice was find great mentors and learn the best from all of them . You don’t need to tell him what he does wrong . Worry about what you do wrong man. And you know know you are! This place is for uplifting not bashing! Please stop the crap thx!

@bahamastrader123 If you don't know what consolidating in a channel means you're not making money because you are clueless. You have no business trading, which is why you're not making money. Study first, like a lot more before blaming someone else for your ignorance.
