I say this because it kept happening on many stocks like FORD recently.
@RedScourge All algo scam. Just have to look at L1 spread, its ridiculus.
Try using mental stop losses on support levels instead of ramdon percentages. I used to use stop losses, but sometimes a stock will slightly dip, take out my stop loss, and continue to uptick.
Well it looks like I got stopped out, lol. I figured since it was a tiny stock and TONS of volume it would follow the FORD pattern, but it does not seem to have worked out that way. @StarSeedz I use stops because I can only trade during the early morning since I'm west coast, and then I go to work @juin Interesting, I'll have to get used to what algo spam looks like.

I like Etradebut @$10 you need to use big bucks. I also have Merril Edge @6.95 a trade but I have yet to use them since they are taking forever to clear my check.
@Deanomite thanks
I use ETrade too, it's worth the extra 4 dollars. No offence but I think you should read this post I made http://profit.ly/user/StarSeedz/blog/tho-thos

"Stop on quote" means if the price drops to a certain level, it will place a market order to immedietly sell. "Stop limit on Quote" will sell your shares if it gets to a certain price, but it will place a limit order instead, so you can control your price execution.
Stop limit on quote is the one you want. You set the price and once it goes below that price it will trigger a market sell order.
Thanks for the help everyone. It seems like every trading platform calls it a little something different.

thanks for the insight..Great job. Seems like I need to save up a lot!
@charles_gan90 No problem, saving up will give you lots of study time in the meanwhile!
@timsykees what do you think?
@StarSeedz Great post. I was in the same boat as you when I started. I quickly realized that having a small account was just not going to cut it if I wanted to see reasonable gains. So, I did exactly what you said - I studied and saved up to grow my account.

Same problem with me. Left a lot on the table because I got out out at the dips
Have you tried removing the profit loss section from your broker page? Tim Gritanni says that a good idea as well and just focusing on chart patterns
Hi Eddzur, unfortunately the answer lies in hard work and the 100s and 1000s of hours working on your craft. Look at all the big athletes how much did they suffer how many times did they fall. The question is what you do when you fall, when you wrong? We do not learn surfing by only reading about it. Same in trading its an emotional process you have to go through. A diamond is formed under huge pressure, so the answer to your question: repetition, step by step train/harden your emotional reactio

Yeah, nice one, all my watchlist this week was bad, every time a stock goes up goes down the days after. The stock market overall is out of power, the batteries need desperately a recharge but the FED is out of ammos. So in the end all we got is ramdom stock that goes up coming from no where only for a day. Great year 2015, I will remember.
Yea I made some money today but I truly feel exactly what you're saying. I made money with the crowd, not on my own. I want to be able to find stocks like that on my own.

hey digital! do you or does anyone know where to find the float on etrade pro? ive searched everywhere i can think of and online; ive had no luck.
@zoomlemon I was not able to find it either. What I do is get the float from Finviz, it's really fast. From there add a "Note" section on the watchlist and type it there.
@StarSedz Great idea! I'll have to do that. Dont think it exists on etrade. Thanks man:)
@zoomlemon its there but they just call it "Shares"

Not everything has to be complicated to work. Tim also uses StocksToTrade if you're into that.
I don't have that. I have esignal, charts are great but the scanner is trash.
etrade pro has a scanner and there are several other free ones. Simple is good. Equityfeed and the rest cost a small fortune.

@Arbi717 You can't really avoid it. My advice is to save up $500 more to short and focus on the best plays. I made a blog about this if you're interested http://profit.ly/user/StarSeedz/blog/tho-thos
Thanks. I appreciate the advice. Perhaps I should hang on for a few months and start with a larger sum.
I did a international money transfer, I from Australia was easy.(It took a couple of days for it to clear).
Mine just cleared and took about a week.
