Up to you. I don't think it does much for you other than maybe learning how to place orders and use the software. Trading with real money is the only way to really get a hang of all aspects of trading

I have ETRADE and i use a new watchlist window as a papertrade it pretends you bought in you can change the so called shares you purchased .when you put the stock on the watchlist it acts like your in a position adjust your settings in top right corner of that box.

i use it to test a theory im having to see if it will play out.

sometimes im right or wrong i learn still then analize the trade.

Congrats on transitioning to live trading! That's exciting. As you continue your journey, remember there are good trades, bad trades, winning trades, and losing trades.
