@Madbash is totally right about the discipline aspect, I signed up with sure trader recently which doesnt have the PDT rule, and let me tell you that its a whole new mental ball game.

Also you can supplement your income by doing a side job. Millenials call this side hustle. If you're good at something, basically teach others and make money from it. It should be something unique.

@ForFreedom22 So far I love the charting, all the features and how there fully customizables, negatives I've had so far is just that they didn't allow trading on this one stock, which doesn't matter but it was my first day trading so I was a bit upset. Overall amazing and would recommend it to anyone. fast none wiring and great customer service

@BowlesTrader5 thanks a lot. Yea I've heard good things about both Etrade and IB so I guess I can't really go wrong. Might try to experiment with both eventually.

@ForFreedom22 Yes, plus if you go both you will get the extra day trades

If you can do both the only reason why I would lean towards opening up IB now is the $3000 under 25 you can always open etrade later even if you don't trade just open the account with IB
