Thanks for the leasson. I like what you said about finding someone whose style of trading fits your own. I've been trying to buy breakouts as they happen and almost immidiatly get shaken out for a loss, so Ive been thinking "how can I buy in anticipation of breakouts in a intelligent way, and it seems to me like that is what you do, and thats what I want to do.

@UlfJohnsson The best way to put it is let the stock prove itself. Too many times I use to try to buy the 9:30 spike but its senseless because its mostly algorithms and automation of trades from previous day. If the stock is going to move more it has to build a foundation to do so. If not and it still goes up those are the ones we don't want to play anyways because it can fall just as quickly as it went up.

AKER is now at 5.75, please do NOT be chasing now, this is absolute best case scenario to sell into if you haven't sold already, congrats to everyone here, whewwww!

@sapph1retw1n thanks for your help. Today was literally my first day. Any advice on what to watch first or where to start?

Thanks for the alert, I had poor execution on this one. I got scared and sold at a loss but should have stuck to my initial thoughts and been patient as it worked its self out and ran later. Great lesson on this one for me.

@amr357 - today was my first day too. I just signed up yesterday (April 5th), so I only know what I've studied from Tim's free stuff. Have you watched any of his videos or checked out his blog?

@sapph1retw1n welcome! there seems to be a lot of content. I started by watching his video lessons. Once done I think I''l look at the webinar series? I feel like there's an ocean of info which is contrary to the impression I had when I signed up...simplicity. Guess not

@Rick14 Ah, Thank you for that information I was not aware.

Cash account isn't subject to PDT, but you can only trade with settled cash. Cash usually takes 3 days to settle after a trade.

@dckeener - I see. So any profits I make in a trade wouldn't be able to be reinvested into other trades until it has settled. So indirectly my trading would be limited until the account has grown some anyway.

@QuestEons The entire traded amount is held as unsettled, you could reinvest it if you want. eTrade will give you a warning about selling the trade with unsettled cash. They (eTrade) has been pretty good about settling the trade within 2 days. I like it because it keeps me from over trading. It's not as restrictive as the PDT rule obviously but if you are disciplined about it you'll be fine while you learn and trade. Hopefully one of these days I will start to profit more than I am...but I

I heard rumor of this change but couldn't find any solid news on it until now. Thanks for the heads up.

I still have (thankfully) a small amount of shares and because of my work schedule I missed my opportunity to sell them this morning. I'm hoping for a small bounce in the morning to lesson my loss but now I don't know what is going to happen as it shows as a 100% loss

I wish you the best with this man. They probably just converted your shares to same amount of AIKI, but don't quote me. I'm not sure how that process goes yet.
