Great explanation of how to look for and play the ramp! Thanks Jack.

Copied every chart and plastered notes on all of them. Absolute gold again @Jackaroo, thanks a ton! Additional take aways: "When stocks show strength you can't be taking these stocks off your watchlist. You have to look at these over 15 days 15 minutes, 30 day 30 minutes or 5 day 5 minutes depending on how long they are going to consolidate for. You need to be watching for them to be sticking around their near their highs. Trading is all risk / reward and you'll achieve way better risk / reward

One the the best instructional videos I have seen to date, thanks Huddie

So glad you got this on film - gotta study history. Wish I had seen this before the perfect setups like this in the past month. Amazing how consistent this pattern is when true panic happens!

Lots of good nuggs of wisdom here. I'm almost 2 months into the challenge now and glad to come across a post like this. It's refreshing to see some long bias, everywhere I turn it seems that people want to drop the hammer on stocks-ha! I can see where you are coming from with understanding the mindset of a short seller to help with long setups--Spikeability and Short Stocking have given me some perspective on this, as well as SEC filings and the book the art of short selling by kathryn staley se

Thanks Chopper - yes the walk away works - for me it is to study to trade right, being a slow learner on a Harley (me)! Good to hear from you. Be well my friend.

Great Video! It is great to see your thinking process. I'm just curious if you switch to other time frames to smooth out the curve and remove some noise to avoid shake out or if you only use 1 minute. Clearly you don't have to worry about PDT rules like I do. I'm constantly rethinking trades because I can't exceed the 3 trades in 5 days. It sucks and has cost me a lot of money

Craigtradesthis May 08, 18 4:14 PM

@DM4BigD sorry for the delay......absolutely switch to other time frames all the time. you never know what the rest of the tradng world sees until you do.
