@AirplaneJane I think I finally have caught on to your niche. The concept im starting to see that may work is. we always chase/plan for stocks that are breaking out but 7/10 fail to breakout due to what ever reason, and in return lose money. (from a long biased stand point) so if we stop looking at extended charts to the upside, and instead, look at charts extended to the downside, you can get the same adverse effect where 7/10 expected shorts will fail. thus providing the expecting edge to the longs??? Sorry for the long post, ive just noticed that stocks have a equilibrium. and majority of us want to hope for an out of the gate b/o, when if you look at over-failed charts, there are more consistent long opportunities to take advantage of, just like we would trying to short a chart that is up... and we dont have to fight trying to find shares to short bc everyone is willing to sell junk. My first test on this was PSTG, looking for long b/o past 11.9 for r-g intraday play. 5/26, looks like a play you would have killed. thanks for any input.

Yes definitely. It is like Tim's strategy for shorting at the top of a parabolic. I found the reverse in going long at the bottom. Less risk going long than short because you are limited to your investment. Shorts can get squeezed which is what I love from the bottom and trading with their fear driving the stock up. Great job.

Thank you Greta it is all surreal but my new reality. Each trade is fresh start and I assess risk on all of them.

Because it reacted to earnings. Earnings winner dont necessarily have to have good earnings, its simply the reaction to it. Perhaps something was included in the conference call or SEC Filing. Regardless, Tim Sykes DVDs clarifies this in detail

Numbers don't necessarily matter, HTMM covers it in detail :)

I am still working on discipline and emotions as well. You have a lot of the key lessons I have learned documented here. You are doing great, just learning. Unfortunately one of the best ways to learn is by going through tough times. ;-)

@Chongette32thanks, and no I'm not giving, I think I'll for the next couple of days, analyse my trade and see what I'm doing wrong, see what's working for me and what's not.

@me_bruch indeed, I'm still on a learning curve, however I'm glad you learnt something from here as well.
