Nice trades man! Are you on a paper trading account? Also, why do you tend to long most times? For most people shorting seems to be most popular, and more profitable. check in on lambsofwallstreet.com from time to time, will be trying to post more options lessons. good leverage and also a great way to short (buy to open puts) if there is a short restriction. i think we are headed for a big "correction" meaning wall street cleans out retail this spring...
Hello Entrada, I´probably open an IB account. But i have a question. If I transfer 10k$, may I have more buying power, or only my 10k ?
I am not sure I think you need 25k to get margin. If you are specifically looking to short pennies IB is not the best answer, but if you want to short big boards like Nasdaq IB is great. You can always short with puts on bigger stocks too
I´m from Spain, and TD Ameritrade, Suretrader, Etrade...doesn´t let me open an account. My only way is IB
Entry comments: First red day on this overextended energy play - goal is to cover low 8's while risking 15 cents or so (lots of resistance in the 8.80 area)

Here is what Tim said about brokers http://goo.gl/oQk5fS Use the link on this page to open a suretrader account and be sure to tell them you will be trading penny stocks and wish to be able to buy up to 10,000 shares for 4.95 That will save you a lot of money but if you dont mention it you wont get that deal They are the who I use to short stocks. InternetBrokers is good for shorts however they require a large deposit and suretrader does not Also fund suretrader with a credit or debit card

If you fund suretrader with wire deposit the only way you can take funds back out will be by wire transfer which can get very expensive. If you use the debit card then you can withdraw funds back out with the card quick and inexpensive. Always glad to help. You can contact me on my website if you ever need anything more
I just wanted to post a couple of things that I think could help the Traders who are following me. From my past big loss on ELON I have learn that knowing how to buy or sell on the pre-market is very important. I personally called Interactive Brokers and TD Ameritrade so they can tell how to sell the pre-market. If I would of known how sell the pre-market I would avoided a big loss on ELON. I was long overnight on ELON, and it gapped down at the open. Lesson learned now I know how to buy and sell pre-market. For those who want to know, if you have TD Ameritrade, look at Time-in-Force when you place a trade. When you choose "EXT" that means that you can buy or sell pre-market. For those who have Interactive Brokers and use TWS you need to go to File Global Configuration => Presets => Check Mark Allow .......... Call customer service for the full details. Have a successful trading week :) P.S. For those of you who were wondering why I haven't traded this week was because I was waiting on account transfers into my TD account. I got a margin call, because of the PDT rule. All my transfers have finally gone through and I finally don't have to worry about the PDT rule. Yay....:)!!!!

Pre-market is a good way to lose money. I have done it. Nathan Michaud posted something recently saying that it is a good idea to avoid trading Pre-market. You can open an account w/IB with $5000, but it will be an IRA account & no shorting allowed.
Can any one suggest a broker that will allow me to short penny stocks with a low net worth but with a 6 figure income?
I heard sure trader had some customer service issues,
