@thesaint_incanada Darcy, I opened an I.B. account. Did about 4 trades (back in early June). Total commissions for a round trip ranged from $2.01 to $20.32 (DRYS when it was under $1.00 per share). Plus I learned I have to pay for access to some real time things. So it cost approx. $15/mth. for what I selected.

@Slayer Wow...hope for a full recovery. I thought your subscription ended. Summer trading is pretty slow now...I am just reviewing my processes and not trading much at all. Had a pretty bad down month in June, so I am not in any hurry to lose more. Anyways, glad you are back.

@thesaint_incanada Hey Darcy, I was away for about 6 weeks due to I happened to be lucky enough, LOL, to get a detached retina in one eye. So after a quick surgery and weeks for the sight to mostly come back in the the eye I am back now. I had put my subscription on hold as I could not see my computer monitors very well.

@emilyr Via the Volume columns usually locsted under a Chart. Also by watching the T&S, Time & Sales window that shows each completed trade, & the Level 2 window which shows the Bid price & quantity, & the Ask price & quanity.

@thesaint_incanada I used them about 8 years ago. They advertised low commissions. But I know many who got really high expenses because of the ECN fees that got added. And we never knew before hand if their would be extra fees. I know some one who did a trade of 100 shares of a stock with a price under $10 as I recall and had a commission of ~ $107!! I do not use them anymore.

@Slayer Hey Stan...have you looked at Questrade? Commissions look good. I am going to try their demo platform and see how it looks. Nice trades today bud.

@thesaint_incanada Good luck. I played with IB's Demo last night. They want a minimum $10K U.S. or equivalent (~$13,377 CDN.). I am wondering about opening a CDN. $ so I can short better the TSX & TSXV. And a U.S.$ account.
