Great video. I'm really liking the detailed explanations. One thing I didn't quite get was how you manage your sell orders on these otc's. I noticed at one point the bid was like .0129 and the ask was .013, but you slapped your sell price in at .0112. Is that similar to selling at the bid?

ArtOfWar May 30, 5:15 PM

@AAlmujahid I account for slippage. I typically set my sell orders lower then the bid because I just want out. With OTCs I’m really focused on that because it is so hard to get out sometimes. Also I set lower because I want to give the stock maximum opportunity to hold and if it can’t I’m still able to get out decent without panicking and having to re-enter my order and causing more damages in losses.

Great vid Ellis. You mentioned that while going through your watchlist you checked thelion, chatroom, and finviz but you didn't show how you use finviz. Is that in another video?

Great post & very interesting comment!! About staying discipline on the process............ " That is going to win you the WAR vs Battle"............... I never thought about these both terms that deeply, now I realize I am busy with my little "STREET FIGHTS" with my 1 month experience of trading. I feel like a new recruit as a Roman soldier for the roman Emperor who can't hold the sword properly yet but with proper training and discipline approach can only prepare me for the Battle & War. @AAlmujahid no. The lion and FB normally show the same tickers but might be off by 2 or 3. For the sake of the video time I just didn’t pull up.

@TraderStal Hi Crystal, my name is Johnny and I am a challenge student. I am interested in trading Crypto using the Kucoin platform and had some questions regarding Tim's material (charts/patterns/etc) and how it would apply to the Crypto market. Can you please support me?

Sir . On this trade do you exit only when it break $3.2. I mean it still 3pm , early in power hour

ArtOfWar
ArtOfWar May 30, 10:06 AM

No. The price action and trends changed. Areas of resistance ( 3.20)that then become support should remain that way within the flow of my trade. If not I simply exit. I don’t care about PH in that instance.

ArtOfWar
ArtOfWar May 30, 4:46 PM

@onteng Understand the question better. No. I get out when 3.25 wasn’t holding because in my thoughts and reading price action it shouldn’t struggle that close to a previous resistive level.

Awesome video! Been tracking my performance on different setups and seeing that I am way better at these consolidation/swizzle plays. Really cool to see a successful trader looking for the same type of action, and seeing entries and exits. Great to see a different perspective than the panics and crazy action that a lot of traders are looking for.

Thanks for the video! Just wondering, you wanted to get in at 1.72 but why not 1.68? That consolidation held longer there and it would've given you a higher ceiling. Was it just because volume picked up there or did you feel like it was a better entry level given it found support around there after coming off its highs earlier that day

Losses always sting but they always teach the greatest lessons. Not only can you learn from your own but also from others mistakes. Thank you for sharing! I learned from it

Small losses created bigger losses if you don't tighten up! I can definitely dig it. Seems to be my biggest problem with day trades.

Absolutely. Not about what you do in a trade most of time. It’s bout what you don’t do. Holding losses and hoping is not a winning strategy.
