Eh, nevermind lol, I'm not going to go private. I like being able to help people with my watchlists and trades.I want to see everybody grow, win, and learn as a trader. It's not that serious too me. Going to post another Watchlist tonight.

I followed this pump company from 12/6 after getting a pump email. Yes, they are as blatant of a pump as can be. I'm primarily using this to witness it play out live, as I cannot find any broker that will let me borrow shares ahead of time, just to reserve for when the crash happens. I have TDAmeritrade, Etrade, and Optionshouse. Let us know if you have any better luck.

200k in 6 Months, started this account with 10,000 Thinking it'll be hard to make 25k and hit 100k about a month ago. It's all paper trades, but I'm becoming more and more prepared for the real deal. This profit.ly page and my trades most of all is to show everyone the IMPORTANCE of PRACTICE. Everybody wants to just jump into trading, including me, and everybody ends up losing a good sum of money, including me. I've since gotten past that and have learned just as much if not more than I would with a regular trading account. New traders always ask me what's the best advice I could give them, and I always say it's to start a paper trading account. You have the freedom to try new patterns and strategies without being scared of losing money. Like Timothy Sykes Says, Trading is a marathon NOT a race. I learned that the hard way and I hope everyone else learns from my mistakes and sees my success with this paper trading account and takes that lesson with them.

@thoe99 A little bit after my first 100k on this account I sized in about 60% of my account. I have since stopped doing that lmao and put maybe like 40 % now.

@TheHorselessHeadsman I appreciate it man, occasionally I get someone who hates on me and takes the time out of their day to madoff every single one of my trades ever lmao!. almost 300 trades this dude goes through and down thumbs. It's weird but it's fine. I've never once said it was real money and I post my big losses as well as my wins. I hope 2017 treats you the best as well!

@OONPAPERTRADES I think you mentioned you're doing real money soon, right? I'm very excited to see your success carry though then too. I'm still very new to this and have been absorbing as much knowledge with all my free time. It's so good to see a forum with such transparency and successful people like yourself, on paper or not.

I am whenever I get enough money too yes, until then I'm just going to get the practice in and I'm in no rush. I learn something new almost everyday still. But yeah I agree this platform is great I don't know what kind of trader I'd be without it or if I even would be trading lol. Happy new year good luck to you in 2017 !

I enjoy studying your technical analysis. It's helped improve my own entries too. How do you go about determining selling points?

@thoe99 Thanks. That's awesome. I haven't perfected my exits yet but the red lines on the chart are the resistance levels. I would look to see if the stock makes a new high. If it doesn't and breaks below support I would sell. I'm going to use the Parabolic Sar to help me determine exits too. It doesn't work for all stocks though, same with RSI and MACD. Only works for some stocks

@thoe99 Also I look at the range on big volume days on the daily which is also an indicator on how far the stock can go. This is all easy in theory but when I'm trading live I always sell too soon. It's a big problem of mine.

@thoe99 For eg with the last chart ANY. Say you buy on first break at 0.25 at 9:59AM. You can sell into the first spike near the red line at 0.325 at 10:03. Or you could wait for the dip and if it breaks below 0.28 at 10:04AM after the two candle before that make support you can sell. If it doesn't break that means it's going up again and you can sell into the next spike in the 0.40s or at 0.35 at 10:17AM if the cup and handle fails. So a few ways to play it.

Are you fulltime at this? If not, I like to hear how others with fulltime jobs are juggling this, as I'm in that position. Very encouraging if you're not though, due to your success.

Well no I've been juggling this and school and I really only have had 30 minutes to trade everyday. Now that I'm on break I have more flexibility but not for long. All the plays are usually in the morning at the open. So if you are able to get up at nine everyday and trade youll be able to be successful.

Impressive. I gotta sneak my trades in at work in the morning ;)

Finally hit my goal of 100k profits. I remember when I started this paper trading account a few months ago trying to make 25k. I wish I had the funds to trade with real money but when it comes it comes. I feel like I've almost perfected my trading so When i am able to trade with real money it'll come easy. This has been a journey

This is very inspiring. What attributes do you think helped you the most? I have a virtual trading account that's highly successful because my emotions are detached, and that's what I point to as my main driver.

OONPAPERTRADES
1OONPAPERTRADES Nov 25, 16 12:49 PM

@thoe99 Right, that's exactly how I felt when I started trading. I was able to make trades and take risks, try out new things I wouldn't have with my real account I had earlier. But now that I have found and perfected my plays when I am able to trade i'll be able to trust in my instincts and still be cautious.

@thoe99 The attributes that definitely helped me the most are being decisive, trading based on PRICE ACTION and not trying to make profits, and vutting losses quickly/sticking to my plan. Those are probably equally as important but are VERY VERY.VERY important. In my opnion, you cant be a sucessful trader unless you have perfected your ability to do those to the best of your ability.

Gotcha, I'll definitely take that. Thanks!
