How do you find these stocks that are near their breakout levels? I like how you trade the strategy but don't know how to scan for these stocks that move out of consolidation points. Any tips? Thanks!

@Turbobob Bob I can't imagine why anyone would hate on you. Jealousy I would guess. You never give us anything but well thought out watch lists and great explanations and videos to help us all. Very much appreciated by me always and by many others I'm sure. Thank you for all you do in and out of the chatroom.

@Turbobob As a very beginner, I learned the basics: rumors are scary for playing long and very good for shorts. And you very nicely played long here. What's behind your decision process in this case? Thank you, your videos are priceless!

Price action and a hot sector are the two main ideas here. By the way, follow my on Twitter if you like @turbobob129 as I post stuff there as well.

Great video Bob, thank you. I was in at 3.09 but got distracted at work and missed the initial spike to 3.88, then got scared out for a small gain long before it went supernova. Couldn't get back in because I was out of day trades--very frustrating. Question: are you still using SureTrader and if so have you had any execution or availablity issues? Thanks again!

I generally only use the 1 minute chart on very volatile trades. Otherwise I find the 1 minute gives me too many false signals. But using the 5 minute and watching L2 is, in effect, the same as using the 1 minute chart. I see all the same moves a 1 minute chart provides. But it is not as visibly represented. I never use VWAP. To me stocks slice through it (up or down) like a hot knife through butter. EMAs just give me a guide for direction and help visualize when a stock is rolling over or

Good point you make. But I used the G/R as the indicator instead as the EMAs may have been late. Turns out they were right.

@Turbobob whats the logic on bying 2nd green candle instead of on 1st greeen candle? just your preference?

Turbobob
1Turbobob Oct 18, 17 10:27 PM

On the first pull back (or no more than the second pull back) you are looking for the stock to reverse. If find there is no confirmation on 1 green candle. YOu need a second one to show there is, at least, some shift in direction. But it does not always work and you need to be ready to exit from the trade if it fails. But, if it is the second candle and it does work, then the wait is worth it as the stock will move strongly to the up side.

Hi Bob, when you trade in the day, do you usually use 2Days/5mins while trading real time?

Turbobob
Turbobob Nov 01, 17 10:38 PM

Yes, unless it is super volatile like UVXY, then I will use the 1 minute chart. Otherwise I am looking at the 5 minute chart.
