news is different than a pump. I'd be careful shorting biotechs on good news.
I'll have to word it differently in the future. But its weird that news can make it jump so high
Pumps and news are very different. Pumps are paid for by the company with the sole intention of insiders selling off their stock at a big profit. News has a (maybe) legit reason for the spike. The article says that if this stuff works it will be the only medicine on the market for this particular disease. Big $$$ potential for the company.

@tshirtfunded I greatly appreciate your words... Your are extremely kind
@fastdounut Yeah I agree.
Go with the trends, the trend here was sell sell sell so taking a long position was super risky and ended up costing a lot. Good luck though

I just decided it was time to jump in. I don't think there is a simple answer. Just go for it. I will say this...paper trading and real trading are two very different things from an emotional standpoint. it is much more difficult to cut losses when its real money you're losing. good luck, my friend. :]
Thanks for this blog post.. :)

Great training video! I just opened my TOS account and didn't realize how powerful the scanning tools are. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to scan pre- and post- market prices...any suggestions? tx
@sdparkhurst yup...check this video http://profit.ly/user/Palmer/videolesson/using-tos-to-scan-for-early-market-movers

@Tunde1306 you're looking at the wrong stocks
Possibly but its not just the earnings, it's people's reactions to earnings.

@osirustwits I defiantly need to focus on my size, I haven't been perfect lately so I jet size in a bit more to make up for the non-perfect exits/entry's, but that can also mean bigger losses
Bowles, Killing it. Do you use the TOS scanner?
howd you get KTOV on your radar?
@Bet0nBlack @Learnthings I used the TOS scanner and it came up in my multiple intraday scans as a biggest % gainer

Flux is what I use on my mac
Computer Vision Syndrome or Digital Eye Strain. Read more about it on Google. I've been using the Gunnar computer glasses with yellow lenses. They help tremendously especially if you get migraines. They basically filter out the bright white light or glare. Make sure the glasses cover your eyes well. Avoid the skinny fashionable ones. Reduce the contrast and brightness on your monitors. Improve your posture and fix the lighting in your room. Some heavy tech users now stand rather than si
Some heavy tech users now stand rather than sit to improve health. (i.e. - Nate from Investors Underground). Use lubricating or artificial tear drops as needed. When resting, use the 20 20 20 rule to re-adjust your eyes or rest your eyes closed every 30 min. If things worsen see an eye doctor.
TraderH is on the money. I also use computer glasses. I think even cheapo shooting glasses work to block out blue lightwaves. I also stand while trading. I picked this up from Jesse Livermore's books on trading...

Question, is there a way to do an a/h movers scan? I use your p/m scan method but it feels like it doesn't work for a/h. Please advise. Thanks!
Arulles: it means the nubers of shared to trade at that Ask price went up, and down for red
Ronnee: Yes, in the stock hacker at the top select for all stocks then the next tab That Intersects with Lovers and Losers select Post-Market Movers
Ok makes sense
