yes that is correct,. 2.50 Rule. Each share ya will need 2.50 per each one. Personally have never ran into a issue with the cost being a factor same for all ticker costs

$2.50 a share extra?! Holy shit! To short 10k shares, you would need 25k extra! Wow!

I think you should wait with the short selling - its much easier trying to understand and make money on long in the start and most important build a big enough account for shorting - this is a key element for shorting as the 2.50 rule apply .. Keep studying hard and your time will come!

Make spread sheets for yourself to figure out what exactly your good at. Take some time off regroup and come back stronger.

Agree @bigman Children mostly make you lose focus to the point you can't trade or have an at home office. No plans to stay in cube world forever. Yet home office is impossible with the little one. Lol.. Regrouping my mind, funds.

I've been using the OnDemand paper trading system on ThinkOrSwim and have been very successful with fills. The only time I noticed I have hard time getting filled is when I try to buy a large amount (for fun) with little volume, then it takes a minute.

Or sometimes doesn't fill me at all. If that happens (rarely) if the stock hasn't move up that much, I will rewind the stock that 1 minute or so and attempt to get filled again, if it doesn't work the second time then I just replay another stock.

@bigman I've never had problems with their Paper Trading system, as they have real time data, you need to call them and ask for REAL TIME DATA, they're usually happy to oblige.

@FreddydaFish great tip indeed, when I'm on a loosing streak, I immediately force myself to paper for a while, and I've noticed improvement, it helps me hone in on my STRATEGIES, and helps me train my eyes to see CHART PATTERNS as they're forming.

Stocks don't have to move on news. Technical breakouts or pumps are also catalysts. DFFN is not a pump, therefore its a technical breakout; more specifically, volume..
