No. Keep writing as many notes as possible to get it printed in your head! I finished all the video lessons and have 3 books full of notes, trust me its worth it in the long run

Do what works for you. Watch the DVDs at least twice. Get the coffee maker going too.

@Nimrod that's only when selling the same stock. You can buy the same stock as much as you want

I want to open a suretrader account too. I heard it is very hard to withdraw your money from them, have you run into this, or have you not tried to withdraw yet?

Interactive Brokers is a solid broker for shorting. Other favorites are Speedtrader, Lightspeed, and Suretrader. Special broker (Centerpoint Securities) is the best but you have to bring the money to the table (40k+).. The key to getting the best shorts with most brokers is how much money you have. If you're a high roller, the broker will work with you. If not, they will reject you. They don't want to work with nagging and inexperienced small traders.

If you have problems understanding the DVDs, then re-watch them and take notes. I know that sometimes TIm babbles in his DVDs and gets off track but you have to focus on some of the key things he says. If you have comprehension issues too, that might make things harder for you. Watch them at least twice and take notes. Listen carefully and filter out the chatter.

Another key thing is do not copy Mr Sykes or other gurus. Learn and comprehend things. Try to understand how they think. This is like medical school and you're going through the meat grinder.. You will also need to find out what you're good at and specialize in something. You may think differently from others and you need to trade or invest in something that mimics your personality. Trading or investing is part psychological.

Create a study and trading schedule around your work. Study on the weekends and nights. As for Levels 2 in IB, it's very ;imited that's why Tim supplements his charts and Level 2 with Etrade's platform. You can use any other too. Etrade and Speedtrader have the best Level 2s. Review lessons on 3456 pattern, Penny Stocking Part Deux + HTMM.
