@skatingjoe87 Hey man I'm very impressed by your profit chart and I was just wondering if you could let me in on what your favorite short setups are? I joined the challenge last week and I would like to learn both sides of the trade right off the bat since Tim always advises that you should.

thanks, I apologize for not responding sooner. my computer crashed and been religated to my phone the last few weeks. I tend to short companies that have a huge run on news after researching their SEC filings and finding they aren't worth the amount they've run. The caveat to that is I won't touch crypto stocks right now short because it'll absolutely crush a short position LFIN for example.

I agree, it definetly is paramount to learn both short and long. even if you stick primarily to one side of the trade it helps to understand what other traders may be thinking on the opposite side of the trade

Nice. I'd like to recommend 'The Art of Short Selling' if you haven't already read it, since I just finished it and it has a lot to do with your strategy. Thanks for the pointers and good luck with your PC mate!

@HiloTheGreat I did see your other comment but, didn't get to it in time. Yes I am living in Germany but, am a US citizen and have an American address I use for trading. My current broker is Etrade but, am looking at IB at a later date

Great work man. Thanks for sharing. It's always inspirational to hear about the evolution of people who are getting it.

Since you're in the challenge is there something you can point to where you thought you started to get it? Whether it be a strategy, one of the video lessons, or a mind set switch. What do you think happened that made it start to click for you?

@thefaction sorry it took so long to respond. havent been on here much. I still don't feel like I've "gotten it" I just take it day by day and continue to learn and study. The best prepration is to always be researching and learning. A mindset switch was the biggest for me. The second I started thinking more postively about my trading and studying is when I really started to make a monumental improvement.

Just randomly came across your post. Just read the Disciplined Trader and it is a great book. Currently reading Trading in the Zone. Congrats on the success.

What would you say is the best thing about the challenge?

@TimeFliesBuy thats difficult, to say I have been in it a long time off and on. because of that I'd say learn at your own pace but, the community of traders and help you get from everyone is incredible.

crazy how, my current strategy is working. been checking percent gainers after first 15 mins after market open then checking financials and other records really quick to see if their in the negative then shorting morning spike. most have been biotechs and have had my first consistent week of being positive everyday.
