Daily/weekly recap: https://tim.ly/2PbM0qr hope today's webinar helped you learn, have a great weekend!
successfully linked my Trade Zero account!! Finally figured it out lol. If you need help, feel free to ask. TradeZero is the account i do all my shorting with. I only shot stocks above 1$ for now. My OTC broker is ThinkorSwim. But because i'm in Canada, ToS doesn't want to sync to profit.ly. Maybe some day i'll be fully transparent and verified! Edit: @CrisLima @MCurtis @peteboy96 Alright guys! I just uploaded more trades from TZ and it's fresh in my mind now. Go on TradeZero's website. Log in to your account. At the top of the window you'll see "Tools". In the "Tools" dropdown you'll find "Profit.ly". Once you click on that, you'll see a green button at the center of the screen "Copy to clipboard". Click it. Now return to Profit.ly official website and at the top you'll want to click on "MyTrades>Verify Trades". Once on that page, find TradeZero from the dropdown. And finally input the username from the TradeZero website, and paste the password you just copied from the step above. There you have it folks. Please drop in to let me know if it worked. Cheers
Holy cow. I'm sooooooo sorry I'm only seeing all these now. I'm really bad with social media hahaha. @peteboy96 @MCurtis @CrisLima did you guys ever figure it out? If not I can definitely help you. It's quite easy actually. It's all done from the web login on Trade zero's website. I actually asked the chat support on TZ website to help me and it took 5 mins to do it. Start by speaking with them, if you still need help I can guide you but I work much better by phone conversation than typing it ou
Guys any solution? I wasn't able to find the "profitly code"
@Ban60k hey! i just edited my original post this morning. Did you try what's written in the edit? The "profit.ly" section is under "tools" at the tope of the screen on the TZ website. You MUST be logged in on the site to see it.
@Blackburner unfortunately it doesn't show for me. When i contacted TZ support they said it's temporarily unavailable

@lx21 GREG LIVERMORE!
@RolandWolf congrats on the 100k! Quick question I was hoping you could help me understand. Did you buy LINU at the end of day on the 30th, after you saw it hover over the multimonth breakout of 0.50ish? Thanks!
It was actually a dip buy towards the end of the day w/ risk at .38ish. Didn't realize there was earnings, and basically got lucky. If earnings reaction was poor, I would have most likely had loss there.
@RolandWolf Got it, thanks for the response. Sorry to bug you w/ one more question. But did you decide to buy it based on the face that it was up alot that day, and that it held mostly its gains? So, news had little to do with your decision to go in? Thanks again
@DennyStocks Simply ask yourself what you will do placed in that situation. That's the answer buddy
@DennyStocks I bought in the afternoon after it had formed a couple of higher lows going into the close. Thought it could test the day's high, and run if it broke.

@Ban60k I understand it perfectly these are finer details that may be confusing, @HaukeCapital PDT rule does apply to Canadians who trade US stocks on US exchanges, and you dont need a margin to trade US securities, i traded with a Cash account at TD direct investing US securities for a few months, perfectly fine, and TFSA's allow only 5K room to deposit per year, you can get up to 6 figures before CRA will tax your trading TFSA for "Business Income" yeah questrade is closed and i dont want to w
wait till tommorow ahah, Thanks for your comment! Do you trade US stocks with you canadian broker if so which one do you use?
I use virtualbrokers.com and IB to trade US securities.
I have been trading using questrade since June 2016. I reside in Toronto Canada. The PDT rule doesn't affect me at all. I have a margin acct. I'm not too sure about the TFSA acct yet. But I plan to open one in the future. I only trade the Nasdaqs and OTCBB. I don't trade canadian stocks.
