Lesson learned, don't get distracted by Sara Underwood when trading in Hawaii haha jk jk. Sykes you're a n extremely busy guy, I can understand how something like this would happen. Great lesson to pay attention to your trade orders executed or not. Something like this happened to me years ago cost me more than 1800.

I did the same thing once, but it worked in my favour, the computer glitches while making my cancel order, it said it went through, and I decided not to trade for a month so I could study more of your videos, however when I came back my account had gained 100%, however had I seen it a week prior it could have been a 800% gain, but either way it was a bad trade cause I didn't know it even existed, and I could have lost it all!! Scary thought that's for sure!

Thanks Tim, I think the small account feature is wins here, I login and check orders, and trades I’m in even with the market closed, when you do t have much to lose, you stay like a hawk!

My second worse loss was not closing a position i for i had -$850 bucks! First biggest loss was following a "guru" out of a halted stock that got crushed out of the halt. -$1900 buck loss. this is going to sound really stupid but this was money well invested. I check both my accounts over and over before i shut down at night to make sure i have not open positions. Had i done well on the halted stock i'd be following "gurus" into trades still. The best lesson can be when you get stung!

I Will Be Meticulous. When you have a position in a stock make sure you do NOT forget about the position as this can cost you BIG, even if it’s a small position. That said if you put in an order and only get a partial fill you should also remember to cancel that order if you are not interested in getting the remainder of that order filled once the stock hits your Limit price. NEVER get into or stay in a low odds set up trade… stick to high odds patterns that have predictable outcomes.

I had the same happen to me on $IMMR.... I was shorting it too early and averaging up. I got to break even and closed out my position. I didn't realize one of my average up orders was still live when I walked away. I came back after eating to find I had 1000 short again! I tried to argue with etrade to no avail so lost 850 or so.... I'll always remember the cancel all button from now on! Don't beat yourself up too bad just learn from it! @timothysykes remember to cancel all!

Make sure that you cancel your original order if you only get filled partly, otherwise you are risking to get filled as the stock gets to that price, and then you probably do not won't those shares that you did put in an order for earlier. The PDT rule won't disappear even though you whine about it, so see it as a challenge rather than an obstacle. A challenge to trade only the best setups.

Sounds like a feature for the next version of the stock trading software.

@timothysykes I love the PDT "being in a prison" analogy. Im gonna use that while i try to build my account to 25k. Don't go for the big run to the wall escape and get "sniper shot". Just trade small, brick by brick and dig yourself out slowly in small stages. Learning along the way so you don't get caught by the guard "the market". Ps I loved prison break the tv show as you can tell. lol. keep learning, keep progressing!!!
